Do you know where this quote comes from? ‘It’s always winter and never Christmas?’
You may have remembered it from C.S. Lewis’s book The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. In the story, the white witch has taken control of Narnia, subjecting the land to an endless winter without the celebration of Christmas.

Did you know that approximately 1 in 100,000 births are Siamese or conjoined twins. The term Siamese twins came from Chang and Eng Bunker (1871-1874) who were made famous in the 19th century through their work in P.T. Burnum’s circus.

In Romans 4, Paul shows us is that there is a spiritual connection between modern Christians and Abraham. Why? Because as Paul argues in this chapter we, like Abraham before us, are ‘believers’. As Abraham was saved by faith in God’s promises we are too.

What is interesting is that when looking at Sydney from a plane the height of Sydney landmarks can barely be distinguished. A twenty storey building doesn’t look much different to a ten storey one when we look at both buildings from several 1000 metres above. However, if we stood in front of the same buildings—the difference in height would be immediately apparent. Perhaps the same is true of humanity.
