A Church for Everyone

Winning is a great feeling.  Just look at any sporting team when they win their Grand Final or an athlete that wins a gold medal.  These victories are great fun but they don’t last.  Life can hand us all sorts of other victories, and these can make us very happy but like all victories they can’t and don’t last.  Tragedy and circumstances beyond our control can change our lives dramatically.  In these times our accomplishments can seem meaningless in the big picture of life, death and eternity.  Jesus taught that he came to give people like you life, and victory that lasts forever.

Because God loves you He sent His Son Jesus into our world.  By His death on the cross Jesus took the penalty we all deserve for the wrongdoings we have done to others and to God.  Not only did Jesus die but He also rose again from the dead showing that His death on the cross really worked.

Christians are people who have come to understand that it’s only because of what Jesus did that we can be called children of God.  Church is not a place for perfect people but an extended family of men, women, teenagers and children from different backgrounds who have all experienced the love of God found in Jesus.    We strive to be a church for everyone because the Gospel message is a message for everyone.  John 3:16 says,  “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

We would love you to visit us this Sunday to find out more about our church and the life transforming message we believe.

From the Senior Minister
